Mango Varieties & IdentificationAre Amrapali and Mallika the same hybrid under different names?
No. The National Horticulture Board lists Amrapali as Dashehari crossed with Neelum and Mallika as Neelum crossed with Dashehari. These are separately named selections with reciprocal recorded crosses. Keep both names and the stated cross directions when studying their histories. Sharing the same parental cultivars does not make the selected offspring interchangeable planting material.
