Mango Varieties & IdentificationWhat breeding relationship connects Ratna and Sindhu?
The National Horticulture Board records Ratna as Neelum crossed with Alphonso and Sindhu as Ratna crossed with Alphonso. These are different named selections in a related breeding history. Keep the cross direction as recorded and do not reduce Sindhu to an Alphonso synonym. The pedigree describes ancestry; it does not by itself establish flavor, seed size, or disease performance at a new site.
