Mango Varieties & IdentificationHow are a mango's stalk cavity, neck, and sinus different descriptors?
The formal guidelines record these separately: the cavity concerns the stem attachment, the neck concerns the narrowed region near that attachment, and the sinus is a different contour feature shown in the illustrations. Use the illustrated definitions when scoring fruit. Calling every indentation a cavity loses distinctions the comparison method is intended to preserve.
