Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Growing & Tree CareShould routine mango pruning cuts be covered with wound paint?

Routine pruning wounds generally should remain uncoated. Dressings can interfere with the tree's natural wound response and are not a substitute for preserving the branch collar. Keep the cut appropriately placed and avoid unnecessary injury around it. If a diagnosed local disease requires a special treatment, obtain crop-specific advice instead of extending another tree species' wound-paint practice to mango.
