Growing & Tree CareWhat does included bark mean at a mango branch fork?
Included bark is bark trapped inside a union instead of forming an outward ridge between the branches. That arrangement can compromise the connection under load. Photograph a suspicious seam from safe ground and have substantial forks assessed before they carry more canopy or fruit. A narrow-looking angle alone is not a complete diagnosis, and forcing the fork apart will not improve it.
