A restoration plan can combine all three treatments. Selected sprouts become replacement branches, competitors are removed, and some intermediate growth is shortened temporarily to retain useful foliage. This creates a transition rather than a sudden bare framework. Have the arrangement reviewed as branches enlarge; temporary growth should have a defined role instead of becoming an unmanaged second canopy.
