Vines attach or twine according to their own growth habit and do not provide an engineered branch-support system. Their stems can also obscure the mango's framework and complicate inspection. Keep intentional climbers on an independent support where practical. If an established vine is tangled through substantial limbs, plan its removal carefully rather than pulling against the mango canopy.
