Convert the nitrogen percentage on the guaranteed analysis to a decimal and multiply by product weight. Ten pounds of a product containing 8 percent nitrogen contains 0.8 pound of nitrogen. This calculation compares nutrient content; it does not establish an appropriate mango application. Use the diagnosed seasonal need, other nitrogen sources, and timing guidance before deciding how much of either product belongs in the program.
