Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Soil, Fertilizer & WateringHow do phosphate and potash label values differ from elemental phosphorus and potassium for mangoes?

Fertilizer labels commonly express phosphorus as P2O5 and potassium as K2O equivalents rather than elemental amounts. Approximately 0.44 times the phosphate value gives phosphorus, and 0.83 times the potash value gives potassium. Identify the reporting basis on both documents before comparing a product with a laboratory recommendation. Do not convert twice when the recommendation already uses fertilizer-label equivalents.
