Pipe capacity is only one part of a drainage system. Water must first move through the soil to the drain, and that movement can be limited by the soil's hydraulic conductivity or restrictive layers. Have drainage designed around the actual profile, spacing, outlet, and topography. Increasing pipe diameter alone may leave the controlling soil-water movement problem unchanged.
