The amount of water used and the extraction procedure influence the concentration being measured. A saturated-paste result and a fixed-ratio extract should not be compared as identical numbers. Retain the method and its interpretation range, and ask the laboratory about meaningful comparison before concluding that salinity around mangoes changed between reports.
