A short auxin exposure can prepare cultured mango shoots for rooting, followed by transfer to a medium that allows roots to develop. Continuous exposure is not necessarily better and has suppressed rooting in reported protocols. Preserve the sequence when evaluating a published method. A rooting treatment is a staged biological procedure, not simply an additive to leave in every subsequent culture.
