Not automatically. Mango maturation studies have used darkness until physiological maturity as part of a staged procedure. Lighting conditions appropriate for germination and plant development need not suit an earlier embryo stage. Keep the stage and exposure documented when reproducing a protocol. A culture-room lighting schedule should follow developmental requirements rather than treating every vessel as an equivalent leafy plant culture.
