Grafting & PropagationWhat makes micrografting different from a small ordinary mango nursery graft?
Laboratory micrografting joins a very small shoot explant to a prepared rootstock under aseptic conditions, often within culture. Its requirements include sterile handling and a controlled recovery system, not simply a smaller knife cut. When assessing it for mango work, distinguish general potential from a validated procedure for the intended material. Ordinary bench-grafting success does not establish competence in this specialized laboratory process.
