Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Grafting & PropagationWhat does hyperhydricity look like in tissue-cultured mango material?

Hyperhydric tissues can appear unusually translucent, swollen, watery, or brittle rather than normally firm and organized. Such growth is a physiological culture disorder, not proof of rapid healthy multiplication. Have the laboratory assess its vessel environment and validated protocol before counting affected material as usable plants; simply transferring waterlogged-looking tissues to an outdoor pot does not correct the underlying problem.
