Grafting & PropagationWhy are heat-sensitive ingredients not always autoclaved with mango culture medium?
Some ingredients can be damaged by the heat used to sterilize the base medium. Laboratory protocols may therefore sterilize suitable stock solutions by filtration and add them aseptically after the medium cools. Follow the validated preparation sequence rather than heating every component together. A clear-looking medium can still have an altered composition, and filtration is not a substitute for maintaining sterile handling.
