Ex vitro rooting means roots are established outside the culture vessel rather than supplied as a developed laboratory root system. A nursery receiving unrooted microshoots must provide the appropriate rooting environment as well as later acclimatization. Confirm the actual stage being purchased. A price per shoot cannot be compared directly with a price per hardened rooted plant without including the additional work and losses.
