Small or damaged flowers may not show enough structure for a confident male or bisexual classification. Record these as unclassified rather than forcing them into either group. State whether the reported percentage uses all examined flowers or only those confidently classified. Otherwise a change in viewing quality or flower damage can appear to be a biological change in flower composition.
