Keep the first and last observed dates, but also record interruptions between flowering waves. A broad date span does not necessarily represent continuous pollen availability. This matters when comparing a donor with a recipient whose flowers opened during an intervening gap. Report the observed windows and inspection frequency rather than filling every day between the endpoints with an assumed supply of open bloom.
