Flowering & PollinationHow should storm-lost tagged mango panicles be handled in a flowering study?
Record the loss and its cause when known, retaining the observations collected before it disappeared. A broken or removed cluster is not equivalent to an intact cluster that remained unproductive. If a replacement panicle is added, give it a new identifier and start date. This preserves the original observation history and prevents physical losses from being silently interpreted as poor flower function or pollination failure.
