Flowering & PollinationWhy does mango pollinator habitat need more than adult feeding flowers?
A visitor population also needs suitable places to nest or complete other life stages. Flower plantings can provide adult food while leaving those requirements unmet. Identify the locally important visitor groups before choosing habitat improvements, and retain appropriate vegetation where practical. A habitat plan should support a continuing population, rather than treating a temporary concentration of feeding insects as evidence that all their needs are supplied.
