Flowering & PollinationHow can grooming change an insect's contribution to mango pollen movement?
Grooming can remove or relocate pollen acquired during flower visits. Mango visitor studies have therefore recorded grooming behavior alongside where insects contact flowers and how they move. Note whether grooming occurs between visits rather than assuming that every grain first acquired remains available for transfer. Pollen carriage is a changing condition during a foraging sequence, not a fixed property inferred from insect size.
