Sampling does not stop evaporation or biological changes that can alter the collected liquid. A method suitable for preserving sugar proportions may not preserve an accurate measurement of total sugar mass equally well. Arrange collection, sealed storage, and analysis with the laboratory before fieldwork. Evidence from other flowers can guide method selection, but it does not establish a universal storage interval for mango nectar.
