Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationCan clumped mango pollen be counted reliably as individual grains without a defined method?

Clumps can obscure grains and cause inconsistent denominators, especially when scorers decide differently whether to separate or exclude them. Establish the counting rule and suitable preparation before evaluating samples. Report unresolved clumps rather than silently assigning each one a single grain or an arbitrary number that changes the calculated germination percentage.
