A maturity measurement alone does not supply a storage-life prediction. Keeping quality also depends on the fruit's condition and its subsequent handling environment. Assess a separate identified group through the intended storage and ripening sequence, recording the point at which quality becomes unacceptable. Use the maturity result to describe the trial's starting material rather than turning it into an unsupported number of storage days.
