Research on dropped mature-green fruit has documented retained green color above damaged flesh, including tissue with incompletely degraded starch. Keep a localized color delay linked to the known impact position instead of assuming the whole fruit was harvested immature. Inspect the underlying tissue when evaluating the lot. The documented symptom is useful evidence, but its presence alone does not diagnose every green patch on every mango type.
