Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Fruit Development, Ripening & HarvestWhat can X-ray inspection contribute before mangoes with hidden internal disorders are packed?

X-ray research has demonstrated detection of internal density differences and cavities associated with spongy tissue in studied mangoes. Such inspection can reveal structural defects that are not apparent on the peel. Confirm which defect the system was validated to detect and compare its decisions with cut samples. A structural image is a screening tool for defined defects, not a complete measurement of flavor or every possible internal problem.
