The bag changes the light reaching and returning from the fruit and can interfere with the spectrum. Research on packaged mangoes has required specific correction and validation approaches rather than assuming ordinary unbagged calibration remains valid. Follow the instrument's validated sample presentation. A plausible number on the display does not establish that the model has separated the bag's contribution from the mango signal.
