A person may recognize a strong resinous note and enjoy it, while another recognizes the same note and dislikes it. Record intensity or presence separately from preference so their observations are not falsely treated as contradictory. This makes tasting results useful for choosing fruit for different people. A low liking score by itself cannot establish whether a flavor was absent, unusually strong, or simply unwanted.
