Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flavor, Quality & StorageWhat does conditioning mean after drying mango slices at home?

Conditioning allows moisture remaining in properly dried fruit pieces to become more evenly distributed before final storage. Cool the fruit and follow an established conditioning procedure, inspecting the container for condensation. Moisture appearing inside indicates that more drying is needed. Conditioning is not a way to make deliberately wet fruit shelf stable, and fruit showing mold should be discarded rather than returned to the dehydrator.
