Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flavor, Quality & StorageWhy can sun-drying mango be unreliable in a hot but humid tropical climate?

Heat alone does not determine whether fruit dries successfully. The surrounding humidity and movement of air control how readily moisture leaves the pieces, and prolonged slow drying can allow deterioration. Assess the actual drying conditions rather than assuming tropical sunshine is sufficient. Where weather cannot provide a dependable process, a controlled dehydrator offers a more manageable environment than leaving prepared fruit outdoors through changing conditions.
