The processing instructions belong to a defined pack and jar format, and boiling-water processing times change with elevation. Consult the full table for the recipe before starting rather than borrowing a time from a different jar or location. Keep the specified formulation and preparation steps together with that table. A sealed lid alone cannot show that an altered process delivered the intended treatment.
