Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhat is the difference between a disease symptom and a visible sign on mango?

A symptom is the plant's response, such as wilting, a lesion, or distorted growth. A sign is visible evidence of an organism, such as fungal growth. Photograph both when possible and keep their locations associated. A wilted shoot supplies a symptom; an insect or fungal coating may provide additional evidence, but still needs identification and interpretation. This distinction makes a diagnostic description more precise than calling every abnormal appearance a disease.
