Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhy does former tomato-growing land matter when a young mango wilts?
Verticillium wilt has been reported in young mangoes planted on former vegetable land, particularly after tomatoes. The fungus affects roots and water-conducting tissue, so adding irrigation may not correct the wilt. Tell the diagnostic service about previous crops and request assessment of vascular tissue. Preserve a fresh affected branch rather than assuming that dry leaves establish drought or that the previous crop history proves infection.
