Pests, Diseases & DisordersCan old mango powdery mildew damage look dark instead of white?
Affected leaves can develop dark, greasy-looking lesions as they mature, particularly along midribs or lower surfaces. The later appearance need not resemble the pale coating seen earlier. Compare leaves from the same affected flush at different stages and provide any photographs taken when symptoms began. A dark mature lesion alone cannot confirm mildew, but the developmental sequence can prevent a misleading diagnosis based only on its final color.
