Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersHow does lenticel discoloration differ from a spreading mango skin lesion?

Lenticel discoloration is centered on the fruit's small surface pores rather than beginning as one continuous expanding patch. Use close photographs that preserve the arrangement of individual spots and examine a cut sample for other damage. The appearance can downgrade fruit without identifying an infectious rot. Record wetting and handling history, and keep this defect separate from diffuse browning when asking a specialist to assess recurring losses.
