A branching pattern following internal resin canals can indicate resin canal discoloration rather than scattered surface spots. Photograph an intact fruit and a shallow cut showing the network before the tissue dries. Keep it associated with the harvest lot. This appearance is a disorder description, not proof of one cause, so do not automatically classify every affected fruit as anthracnose or prescribe a treatment from the vein pattern alone.
