Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhat is inoculum in a mango disease report?

Inoculum is material capable of initiating infection, such as suitable fungal spores or bacterial cells. Its arrival on a mango surface is exposure, not necessarily successful establishment within the plant. This distinction helps interpret spore observations and sanitation plans: reducing a source can lower pressure even though the number of particles detected is not a direct count of infected trees.
