For commonly used insecticidal Bt preparations, a susceptible larva must eat the active material for the toxin to act in its gut. Contact with an adult moth does not provide the same result. Identify the pest and feeding stage before evaluating performance, and use only products legally labeled for the crop and use. Bt is not a general cure for every insect found on mango.
