An alarm is useful only if the warning reaches someone who can respond. Test whether the device still records and provides an alert when its usual connection is unavailable, and learn what functions depend on outside service. Keep a separate way to inspect conditions around the mangoes. A working heater and a working network are different parts of protection; testing one does not establish that the other will remain available during a cold event.
