Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Climate, Cold & Container GrowingWhat makes a self-watering planter different from leaving a mango nursery pot in a saucer?

A self-watering planter is an intentionally designed system with a water reservoir and a managed connection to the root medium. That description does not establish that every design is suitable for mango. Examine overflow, drainage, and how you will inspect moisture around the roots before committing a tree. A nursery pot standing in accumulated runoff lacks that evaluated arrangement. Trial the system cautiously rather than assuming the self-watering name guarantees an aerated root environment.
