Climate, Cold & Container GrowingDoes wrapping a mango pot in insulation provide a source of heat?
Insulation changes heat exchange; it does not supply heat of its own. Include the duration of cold and the starting conditions when evaluating a wrapped container, and verify conditions around the root ball. Keep drainage and inspection access clear. Where prolonged cold exceeds what the arrangement can manage, suitable shelter is still needed. Do not treat the presence of a thick wrap as a temperature guarantee for roots exposed above ground.
