Yes. Compare internal width, depth, and opening shape with the existing root ball rather than choosing by advertised volume alone. A tall narrow pot and a broad shallow pot can offer the same volume with very different usable space around established roots. Check how the tree will be supported and later removed. Select a shape that accommodates the actual root system without forcing it into an unsuitable opening or depending on buried trunk tissue for stability.
