Evaluate drainage while the pot stands in its normal growing position. Water escaping after tilting does not show that excess water can leave through the intended outlets during routine care. Inspect outlet height, the support surface, liners, and any outer planter. Correct the obstructed or ineffective route rather than relying on repeated tipping of a planted tree. Keep the container stable while investigating, especially if a large canopy makes handling difficult.
