Trace tubing, sensor leads, support ties, and any other connection between the planter and its outdoor position before moving it. Disconnect or reroute them without pulling against the trunk, root ball, or equipment. Check for escaped roots separately. Reconnect the care system deliberately at the destination and verify drainage there. A planter on wheels can still be effectively fixed in place by attachments that are easy to overlook during an urgent cold-weather move.
