A thermal store helps the crop only when heat moves between the storage medium and the occupied growing space. Inspect the designed air path and keep intakes and outlets unobstructed as canopies and stored materials change. Measure conditions around plants as well as inside the storage system. Warm rocks below the floor do not by themselves establish that vulnerable shoots receive useful protection.
