Meters reporting human-visible brightness weight wavelengths according to human vision. They do not directly measure the photosynthetic photon supply, especially when comparing differently colored lamps. Use a suitable plant-light sensor and consistent positioning for that comparison. A visually brighter fixture may otherwise appear superior even though the measurement does not answer the horticultural question.
