An ordinary handheld infrared thermometer generally measures the glass surface rather than the leaf behind it. Visible transparency does not mean the window transmits the wavelengths used by that instrument. Measure through an appropriate unobstructed view and follow the instrument's instructions. A reassuring reading from outside the window may describe warm glazing while the sheltered mango experiences different conditions.
