Airflow ratings depend on the resistance against which the fan operates. Shutters, screens, pads, and restricted inlets change that resistance, so the advertised free-air output may not be delivered in the actual house. Match equipment to the complete installation and verify performance. A large nominal fan size does not establish adequate air exchange around sheltered mango trees.
