Without a common endpoint, one batch may receive extra time to emerge while another is declared unsuccessful sooner. Set an observation schedule and distinguish seedlings present at the endpoint from later emergence. Continue caring for potentially viable material as appropriate, but keep later observations identifiable. This separates nursery scheduling performance from an unrestricted eventual germination count.
